Dearest Gilgamesh,
It does not seem like it has only been a few days since we spent the day in the solarium in your hammock. And, no, I am not going to forget that I promised to catch you when you fall…or that you told me that you love me. They have been happy days. I awake each day with a smile and greet the morning (or the afternoon) with laughter. The world is a treasure to me and if that is not because of you…well, you certain add to my enjoyment of it in so many fascinating and enjoyable ways.
I am leaving for Minos with the tide. I hope the shadow paths hold and that it is a boring and swift journey. I still have many things to research and I feel that I need to know more about the other half of my heritage. While I am away the touch of your lips and your kisses will remain lingering in my thoughts. I promise to count the hours, the days and the may *ways* that I miss you so that I can demonstrate when I come home to you.
I already miss your voice, your touch, your humor, your enthusiasm and your companionship. I miss the gentle brush of your fingers sending shivers down my spine. I miss the affection, warmth and love that reflect in your face and eyes. I love it when you catch me when I throw myself at you and I love it just as much when you spin me. I love the way my heart races when you enter a room and how you hopelessly distract me away from the topic of the conversation.
Keep me in your thoughts while I am away as I will keep you close to mine. This is silly, I may be gone for just a day or two but because I never know how long-
