I love your Tonks/Dora. :) You have some great imagery - so good work on that end! I felt very sorry for Dora, and I was glad Remus didn't fluff things up. I also liked the allusions to his guilt, mostly because he didn't dwell. They were just there, matter-of-factly really. Such is life.

I also love the picture you chose.

Thank you, I try very hard to get her right, I think out of all of my muses, Dora and I are very similar, she's just braver than I am lol.

And I had to hunt for the picture that represented Ted's office for ages. I think it's the yellow that finally did the trick :D

Thanks a bunch for the lovely comment :D

I could vividly imagine what the office looks like before I got to the picture; it's almost as if the office is a character on its own here, telling us so much about how Ted was.
It's so good to see how Remus' being there helps Tonks, even though there isn't a whole lot he can actually do to help her. So much sadness in the situation they're in, and I'm glad they felt somewhat more hopeful towards the end of the story. You've shown us a glimpse of how much the two of them are there for each other, and it's a great thing to see!
And your Remus is lovely, all gentle and loving. It's easy to see why Tonks loves him :)

Yay, my description works Huzzah!

I'm glad it felt helpful, I really suck at ending things, give me dialogue over endings any way.

And I'm glad you like my Remus, I love him too :D Doesn't help that my partner is so Remus I take a lot of his mannerisms into account when I write.

Thank you for the lovely comment :D

I always felt that Tonks would take it very hard, I imagine them very close, both of them hufflepuff and a little mischievous and terrors for Andromeda ('cause she can't help but love the Tonkses) . :D

I'm really really glad you liked this, I can't imagine a pregnant Tonks to be easy to live with to be honest.

I like your portrayal of Ted! This is how I think of him, too - kind, easygoing, a warm and loving dad. "You’re all much safer without me[...] It’s just until this all clears itself up." sounds like something he would say. And I agree that he and Remus would come to like and respect each other!

Considering he was quoted in DH saying this, it wouldn't surprise me if he was saying he was going on the run in the same manner.

"“Knew they were coming for me,” replied mellow-voiced Ted, and Harry suddenly knew who he was: Tonks’s father. “Heard Death Eaters were in the area last week and decided I’d better run for it. Refused to register as a Muggle-born on principle, see, so I knew it was a matter of time, knew I’d have to leave in the end. My wife should be okay, she’s pure-blood. And then I met Dean here, what, a few days ago, son?”

And I think he'd totally love Remus and his quiet sense of humor and his love for his daughter, just not enough time.

I'd love to see an AU of life in the Tonkses household if Ted survived DH but I don't know if it will just prep me for a worse fall if I have to watch Ted grieve for his daughter too *that would be so so sad*
