I actually imagine Tonks as being rather unconfident in herself in a majority of things. Oh, being an awesome auror and kicking arse? That's no problem, but things like tripping over her own feet and unable to stop Remus from leaving? Leaves her feeling useless and terrible. My take on her, anyway.

Well, for THIS challenge I REALLY wanted to just write the first thing that came to mind when I read the prompt- and for a good amount of them I did. The first thing I thought when I saw since feeling is first was "Wow, that grammar would kill Remus's brain" and so I went with it. But then some of the things I've written- like this one- demand sequels, or places to continue, but also want to STOP at their own respective places. So, prompt twisting is in order.

The easiest prompts to bend to my will are the single-world ones. As such, they're perhaps my favorite of the bunch :). (Prompt 8 is sticking it's stupid tongue out at me, because it's forcing me to write smut and I. Don't. Wanna.)

Well, good thing you love rants since I go off tangents enough :). Tee hee.

Hmm. I think my take on her confidence comes from the way she's still absolutely functional as an Auror/member of the Order during the HBP year - except for the morphing, of course - which means that she does know she's good, and a valuable asset, and though depressed, etc., she's still doing her work. But yes, regarding some things, she is insecure, though most often she tries to laugh them off. Which sometimes she can't, and then they strike hard.

*nods* For many of the prompts, I get an idea immediately. For others, I need to think some, or, even worse, choose between several ideas (haha I haaaate choosing sometimes)

Oh, I love twisting lyrics prompts too. They are also very flexible - I tend to pick half a verse or something and write on that. ... and twisting picture prompts is also fun. *grins*

oooohhh smut!!! >.> hahaha but sometimes, writing a little smut is fun!
