title: distance, part ii.
author: faeriemaiden.
format & word count: poem, 78 words.
rating: pg? rating poetry is tricky business.
prompt: four: "delicate".
warning: ...angst? poetry? heh.
summary: odd how even now you // touch me as though I am porcelain // and inclined to break...
author's note: I didn't realise until after I'd finished writing this that it was sort of a companion to the last poem I wrote. Funny how that works out.

distance, part ii

odd how even now you
touch me as though I am porcelain
and inclined to break; as though
where your hands find skin there might be,
in a moment, only dust. even now,
I think, as you are kissing me,
you cannot quite believe in the realness
of my mouth, my throat, my hands, my hair,
or that these are things allowed you.

even now you speak of need
and of fear in the same intake of breath.

faeriemaiden, prompt 4
