Title: Fix You
Author: Devonwood
Format & Word Count: Double Drabble; 200
Rating: PG
Prompt: Prompt 18 (Coldplay lyrics)
Warning: None, really
Summary: Today, you are mouse brown in looks and grey in emotion.
Author's Note: Oh, Remus and Tonks. Why must I make you so emo? Also, in case anyone didn't notice, I'm trying to use every single prompt. So far...I'm actually on schedule. :D

The lights in the pub flicker, the paint is peeling from the walls, and you can’t help but think you seem woefully out of place here.

Everything about you usually screams “I’m perky!’, but not today. Today, you are mouse brown in looks and grey in emotion which, you assume, is the reason you stopped in. The barman flashes you a sneering grin, probably wanting to repair your broken heart with more than a pint, but you shoot a glare to kill. There is only one man who can fix you now, and he is the last person to ask.

------------------

You see her in the pub, slouched over, and you can’t help but frown. She is even more sullen than the last time you saw her, which before you thought was impossible. You know it is your fault- everything is your fault, it seems- yet you still cannot gather enough courage to talk to her.

What would you say? “I’m sorry”? Those words will never float from your lips.

“It’s my fault”? You’re pretty sure she already knows that.

“I love you”? No, especially not those words.

She can never hear those even though, deep down, you wish she could.
