Summary: Tonks has trouble sleeping
He feels her thrashing around beside him, the bedclothes being pulled off the mattress. Her sobs disturb the peacefulness of the night. His hand rests gently on her arm and she jumps as if his touch burns her. Another night, another nightmare.
Her eyes open, and stare unfocused at the ceiling. A cold sweat covers her body, the perspiration dampening the sheets and pillowcase. She’s shaking and he wonders what it she saw this time. What memories of death and pain are plaguing her subconscious Psyche? So young and so broken.
“It’s alright, Dora.” He soothes, rubbing her arm gently. “It’s all over, love.”
She sniffles beside him and dazed begins to stammer. “Gone, Remus, they’re all gone. Charlie, Arthur, Kingsley, Minerva. I saw it, I saw them fall.”
“I know love, just relax, it was just a bad dream.”
He wishes it was a dream, for both their sakes.
