It all burns for but a time - passion and lust…and even love itself, which always ends in death, despite the claims of romantics and dreamers.
I’ve embraced that creed for so long, the lightning revision hits me like "flagrate!" Four weeks I’ve known you - and four thousand years. Something more than chemical sparks in your violet eyes from across the table, and why do I feel like it could fuel me forever?
“Oi, Remus! Did you just hear a word I said? You daydreamin’ again?”
“What? Oh…No, of course not. I'm listening...”
You smile and I can feel something searing, burning within me.
“Daydreamer,” you smirk, and I’m terribly insulted….and grateful nonetheless to find it all stripped away, old thoughts dying in a trail of smoke and something new rising from the ashes.
