Winning the sickness lottery
After fighting off a virus for a month and thinking I was finally about rid of it, I got slammed on Monday. Bad enough that I called in sick to work on Tuesday and stayed home from rehearsal. I took off Wednesday as well, but tried to go to rehearsal where I managed to pass out and scare the tar out of half the cast and the director (Robert, do we need to call an ambulance for you?).
So after recouperating from that little sidetrip to unconscious-land, I drove home and made an appointment at the nighttime clinic up the street. 2 hours later I have info -- tested positive for FLU (the real deal, not just "a virus") and have a sinus infection -- and drugs -- antibiotics and codeine-laced cough syrup. Also a Doctor's order to stay home the rest of the week.
Tonight is the first time since Monday AM that I've read LJ. Dang you all have been busy.
