Cookies for a very worthy cause
This is a link to a friend's webpage which was about her daughter's fight (successfully) with a very deadly form of children's cancer. She now volunteers to help other families. There is a wonderful new fundraiser for the holiday season that, because nearly all the supplies have been donated, will result in your purchase price going nearly 100 percent to the research for a cure.

Carolyn is my former coworker who, with the help the guild sick leave bank which I chair and donations of leave from generous colleagues, was able to take a year from work to shuttle her daughter between DC and NYC to win a truly frightening battle. Many of the other children who they came to know were not so fortunate.
