Stupid Stop and Shop

I'm not hungry, but my mouth is so damm dry that I want to put something refreshing in it. Like fruit. Except I can no longer get fresh cut-up fruit at the local Stop and Shop because in a move that makes oh-so-much sense, they now ship in tiny pre-cut containers of fruit from a factory in MA. Now: a)what happened to the movement about locally grown food b)the stuff is so much more damm expensive than it was when the store's produce people were cutting it themselves and c)it is certainly no cleaner, and to my mind, it is much less fresher than it was before. I'm not buying that stuff, and have actually called several times to complain about it.

I actually have a connection (yes, it's come to that) in the produce department who will cut me up fruit (her attitude is that "as long as nobody says anything and the customer requests it, that's it," she'll do it) but unfortunately, she's on a three-week vacation. And trying to get fresh cut-up fruit from the local Shoprite is an exercise in futility. One day, and it rots. And, yes, I am lazy and I'd prefer to spend money on cut-up fruit rather than cut it up myself. Particularly because I'm the only one, ever, who'll cut it up, and if it doesn't get cut up, it'll rot away in the fridge. So it's really very economical. And I want my damm fresh cut-up fruit back already, damm it.

Also, my hair has this huge knot in it. I'm really tempted to just cut it out when this happens, but then I'll have a big bald spot, so I've resisted, so far at least.
