(no subject)
so, updating time. i´m in santiago now. leaving rengo was a little sad, but i will be back there again on saturday and then again for 2 nights at the end of my stay. still though, it will be a long time until i will really be back there again. actually i think i am going to try to come back for second semester next year. that would make me very happy. anyyyway, santiago has been good so far, only got in recently, went out with jenny and her friend claud(ia) for a while, then came back here to the hostel, did somethings, and got dinner. i like this place, and the neighborhood, which i had been told was dangerous, isn´t bad at all. claud explained it to me that it´s "danegerous" and not really dangerous. does that make sense? tomorrow i am taking a cable car to the top of a huge hill to see a 30 foot tall virgin mary, visiting pablo nerudas house, and who knows what else.
santiago is a little dangerous right now, most high schools and univeristies are on strike for better education and the police here are throwing tear gas onto reativly peacfully protesting students. claud and jenny essencially took out my map and drew a big X on the area I shoudl avoid tomorrow. i´m not getting togther with them until like 5, so i´m going to have most the day to myself.
good trip so far overall, really really good. and it´s not over yet. i´ve still got like 2 weeks left, and they are the 2 weeks when i am doing the most travelling. i can´t even begin to desribe how nice it was to be back in rengo. oh god, so nice. i was staying with toro, but she started to drive me insane, so i went to stay with sini´s host family and it was so great, they´re awesome. satruday i think i am going back to rengo for the night, just becasuse i want to.
toro though, oh god she started to drive me insane. i´ll give details later. my host family, heh, that was funny.
