Summary: Yesung is a queer, but not the gay kind. Aside from his common flings with random girls and the tendency to hurt himself - emotionally - he really doesn't have much of a life. Things start going out of order when he meets the new sophomore in the math class he teacher assists in. It seems he's been "living in the moment" for too long, causing him to forget things and people of his past.
Kyuhyun's background isn't as simple as it seems and trouble starts heading his way as soon as he starts getting involved with Yesung. Their mutual attraction is anything but subtle, yet, Yesung can't accept the fact that he's... gay. How can Kyuhyun make Yesung understand that love goes beyond gender before everything becomes too late?
Kyuhyun caught Yesung having 'happy hour' with his newest girlfriend in the back corner of the library; the darkest, most compact corner that could be found. His left arm held her waist flush against his abdomen while his left arm roamed under her shirt and up her spine. She shivered gently; her arms clawing at Yesung's shoulder and her leg slowly slid up his thigh. They were swallowing each others lips hungrily, greedily, painfully.
“Kyuhyun-ah,” someone called out to him. He tore his eyes away from the couple and redirected his attention to the female calling his name, trying to slip away stealthily, but it was too late; Yesung and his girlfriend already discovered him watching them.
Kyuhyun made a dash for his friend, practically hopping into her arms. “Joanne!” He shouted happily, dragging her with him towards the exit of the library. His cheeks were flushed and his heart was thumping crazily against the cage of his ribs.
“Kyu, where are you going?” She asked, taking a peek back towards the corner where Kyuhyun stood, “aren't we going to study?” Kyuhyun wove her fingers into his, the heat transmitting through their palms moderately.
“I saw something I never needed to see,” he sighed, shaking his head in frustration. She smirked lightly at him, puffing up her left cheek as she pulled him to a stop. He peered into her eyes innocently, as if he was scared.
“Did you see what I think you saw?” She asked playfully, her brow lifted in a slight curve. He nodded.
“Cute, very cute,” they heard Yesung laugh from beside them. Kyuhyun turned to face him, holding Joanne with an arm around her neck. “I thought you were gay,” Yesung added, stepping closer to them.
“I thought you were busy making out with your girlfriend,” Kyuhyun retorted, a bit offended by Yesung's comment, “and I can't help that you like to make assumptions.”
“But I'm-” Joanne started, but was interrupted by Yesung.
“She wasn't in the mood anymore,” Yesung shrugged.
“Oh, must have been because of me and my girlfriend,” Kyuhyun semi-apologized.
“Who's your-” Joanne tried to protest, shifting herself to face Kyuhyun. He held her tightly in his arms to make sure she couldn't break free.
“Nah, it's alright. She wasn't all that good anyways,” Yesung sighed. “Are you a professional stalker or something? No offense to you, miss,” he remarked towards Joanne. “You always find me at the wrong time, in the worst situations,” Yesung stated, crossing his arms.
“A stalker? You?” Joanne cracked, laughing while pointing at Kyuhyun, “Hun, I didn't know you were that desperate for-” before she could finish, Joanne was cut off by Kyuhyun.
“I'm not a stalker, you just suck at choosing locations to do your business. You should really get a room for that kind of stuff, you know. It was disturbing to see, especially for my girlfriend here,” he scolded silently.
“I didn't s-” she attempted again.
Yesung glanced from Kyuhyun to the lady standing between them, “I'm Yesung, nice too meet you, uhm-.”
“Joanne,” she added for him.
“Joanne-sshi,” he smiled. “Well, Kyuhyun, I don't know what to tell you,” Yesung shrugged, “I do what I want, where I want. Why would it bother you anyways?” Kyuhyun swallowed hard, trying to suppress whatever it was that was trying to surge off of the tip of his tongue. Yesung grinned.
“Let's go, Kyu,” Joanne urged, sensing the tension between the two, “we'll be late.”
As they were leaving, Yesung called out to the stupefied Kyuhyun. “You'll be there tonight?” Kyuhyun made a sharp turn and stared at Yesung uncomprehendingly. “At the party, Sungmin's birthday party.”
Kyuhyun thought to himself for a quick moment before tugging Joanne out of the library. “I take that as a yes,” Yesung snickered to himself.
-
“Hyung, organize your room. Now.” Sungmin demanded while pushing several boxes into his closet. “They'll be here very soon!”
Yesung lazily lifted his body from his chair, raising his hands and resting them on his waist, “honestly, you would be a lot more annoying than mom if she were still around. If dad were still here, he wouldn't be able to tell if you were a son or daughter.” He turned to look at Sungmin's freshly cleaned room, not a spec of dust could be found anywhere, “it's your birthday, just relax and enjoy the day.”
Sungmin lost himself in thought for a minute before a smile slipped onto his lips. He nodded and retreated to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water, “you're right.”
Yesung laughed, “of course I am, I'm the older brother so I'm always right.” They heard a ring on the door and Sungmin immediately greeted their friends. The first ones to arrive were Siwon, Kangin and his boyfriend Leeteuk. Siwon was probably the only straight guy that the boys included in their group of friends, aside from Yesung, but he didn't feel misplaced in the least.
“Hey guys,” Sungmin grinned at them, showing them into their house, “you guys are really early.”
Kangin checked the time on his cell-phone and then glared at Leeteuk.
“What? I didn't want to be late!” Leeteuk shrugged, “better safe than sorry.” Kangin and Leeteuk headed towards the dining room to unload their cake and home made food, spreading everything onto the table. Siwon, who was dragged out of bed extremely early by the couple, just laughed and found his way to the sofa, making himself cozy.
“Shouldn't you keep your guard up around here? You're a mighty handsome man surrounded by hungry homosexuals,” Yesung joked, fixing his shirt as he strode out of his room to the kitchen. The bell rung again and, due to convenience issues, Yesung was demanded to greet the door.
Yesung weakly unlocked the door and slid it open. As soon as the door creaked he backed himself up into the kitchen and grabbed a can of beer, popping the can open before taking in a big gulp. When he returned to the living room he spotted Kyuhyun and a foreign face sitting around the table in the center of the room.
“Hyung, this is my boyfriend Kibum,” Sungmin introduced, linking hands with the man as he smiled happily. Yesung nodded and shook Kibum's free-hand.
“He's very good-looking,” Yesung complimented, giving his brother his consent of their dating. Sungmin rolled his eyes.
Kyuhyun made his way to stand beside Sungmin, his gift hanging in his hand. Sungmin took the present gratefully and stacked it with all of the other presents. They spent the evening with laughs, jokes, and no worries. Just enjoying what they had.
When night came and things started to settle, Leeteuk suggested that they play the truth or dare game as an ending note. Everyone agreed to it and the game started shortly after they got a new round of drinks and snacks.
“Who starts?” Kibum asked.
“I get to start!” Sungmin shouted excitedly, “I'm the birthday boy!” The boys agreed and they moved on with the game.
“Siwon,” Sungmin appointed, clasping his hands together with a mischievous smile, “truth or dare?” Siwon held his finger to his lips before finally choosing truth. Sungmin pondered on a good question to ask as he pouted unconsciously, “are you really not gay?”
“Of course!” He clarified nervously. Sungmin nodded and Siwon searched for the next victim. “Yesung,” he slyly smirked, “truth or dare?”
“Truth,” Yesung picked without thinking.
“Are you one hundred percent straight?” Siwon asked.
“That's lame! You were asked the same question!” Kangin complained.
“I'm really curious though,” Siwon sulked.
Yesung scoffed, “dude, does that really have to be asked? I'm homophobic!”
“Hey!” Half of the room screamed at him. He started laughing and raised his arms in surrender, explaining that he was only joking.
“Okay, birthday boy,” Yesung grinned. He turned to face Sungmin completely and lifted his brows in a provoking manner, “truth or dare?”
“Wo-oah, are you trying to scare me?” Sungmin choked, “I'm not scared of you. Dare.” Yesung laughed as he shook his head suspiciously. Sungmin started to regret his choice.
“You really shouldn't have done that, little bro,” Yesung sang. He lifted his finger and pointed at Kibum who sat innocently beside his boyfriend, “make out with your babe there.” Sungmin's eyes widened dis-belief, he glared at his brother who was still staring at Kibum, his cheeks were burning bright red. “What?” He asked at the realization of his younger brother staring pistols into his side, “it's just a game, if you're scared then don't do it.”
“Oh no you didn't,” Leeteuk gasped, taking Kangin's hands into his own, “get prepared for a great make out show.”
Pouting, Sungmin pulled Kibum to face him and leaned in close to his lips. Just before their lips touched Sungmin stopped and slowly shut his eyes, his face moderately growing a deeper hint of red. Slowly, oh-so-slowly, their lips met. Sungmin draped his arms around Kibum's neck and roughly pulled him flush against his chest. Kibum snaked his hands around Sungmin's waist and slid it up his back, engaging them in a more physically centered activity, burning their desire for one another. Their kiss accumulated, the scale quickly heightened and they seemingly forgot about the others around them.
The boys sat and watched in surprise. How did they do it? How did they block out the rest of the world and indulge themselves in such a hot, wet, sexy kiss? Yesung's jaw dropped in shock. He couldn't bear to watch any longer and burned holes into the ground with his eyes. He was scarred for life.
“Done,” Sungmin clasped, his cheeks as red as cherries. Kibum tried to slickly hide his face with his palm and held Sungmin's hand with his free hand. “Hyung,” Sungmin smirked with a hand tapping his chin, “truth or dare?”
“Dare, it's got to be dare,” Kangin urged, “you can't lose to your little brother.”
Yesung took in a deep breath as his eyes danced in thought, “hmm.”
“You have to hyung,” Siwon added, “it's only fair.”
“Watch your tongue, Siwon, he might tell me to make out with you next,” Yesung warned, scaring Siwon into silence. “That's what I thought,” Yesung laughed.
“You already chose truth, you can only pick it once!” Leeteuk protested.
“Fine, whatever, I'll just pick dare,” Yesung surrendered, “be gentle?”
Sungmin nodded triumphantly. He glanced at Yesung and bounced over to Kyuhyun, his smirk growing wider. “You know how you keep saying you're not like us?” Sungmin asked, facing his older brother, “well, let's turn you into one of us then.” Sungmin continuously eyed Kyuhyun, everyone's gaze quickly followed suit.
Kyuhyun pouted; this was what he was afraid of most. Sungmin knew his secret, the secret he's been waiting for Yesung to discover on his own. Yesung never remembered; it's been nearly a week since they saw each other again but he didn't remember.
“I so saw that coming,” Yesung sighed. “Why am I related to a homosexual and why do I hang out with homosexuals?” He uttered to himself, “I screwed myself. You want a good show?” Yesung sneered bitterly, “I'll give you a good show.”
Yesung stood up and dusted his hands together before slowly making his way towards Kyuhyun. He licked his lips seductively before resting a hand on Kyuhyun's shoulder. Kyuhyun dug deeper into his seat, his hands grasping the the surface of the sofa tightly. He could feel himself shaking nervously, the pace of his heartbeat hastening and the palms of his hands sweating. The corner of Yesung's lips tugged at each corner as he slowly lowered himself onto Kyuhyun's lap, straddling him at the waist. They exchanged looks and immediately locked themselves in each others eyes.
“Are you ready?”
