Best Albums of 1972basementjoeMay 22 2015, 19:18:52 UTC
Man, 1972 was another great year in rock music. I listened to about 45 albums from that year, and I only hated one of them! ("Faust So Far" by Faust) Not bad at all, although I did skip a Captain Beefhart album and a Can album, with full knowledge that I would dislike them. Anyway, here is my list for the year. Let me know what you dudes think.
Honorable Mention (Good to Very Good) "Jackson Browne" - Jackson Browne; "Blue Oyster Cult" - Blue Oyster Cult; "Let's Stay Together" - Al Green; "Pink Moon" - Nick Drake; "Music of My Mind" - Stevie Wonder; "Thick as a Brick" - Jethro Tull; "America Eats Its Young" - Funkadelic; "Eagles" - Eagles; "#1 Record" - Big Star; "School's Out" - Alice Cooper; "Saint Dominic's Preview" - Van Morrison; "The Slider" - T. Rex; "Back Stabbers" - The O'Jays; "Close to the Edge" - Yes; "Foxtrot" - Genesis; "Caravanserai" - Santana; "I'm Still in Love With You" - Al Green; "Seventh Sojourn" - The Moody Blues; "The Magician's Birthday" - Uriah Heep

Harvest is awesome! Has anyone here heard Neil's new stuff with Willy Nelson's sons? They are playing the last day of Milwaukee's Summerfest. I saw Neil on the H.O.R.D.E. Fest in 1997, so it was full-on Neil and Crazy Horse grunge distortion. Fantastic!

Listen to Ziggy Stardust, please! It's his best. "Starman" is awesome, you'll know "Moonage Daydream" from the snippet in Guardians of the Galaxy, "Suffragette City" is a classic rock radio staple, the rest are all solid too.
