I woke up this morning at 5:20 AM from a very restless sleep. It felt like I had some mucus or something in my throat. I kept trying to swallow it down or clear it out of there, but it was persistant. So finally I got out of bed and headed for the bathroom. After waiting for my eyes to adjust to the light (and taking a quick piss of course) I decided to use the mirror to check out my throat. Much to my surprise, my uvula was suddenly about 4 times as big as normal. I was a little scared, I had never heard of such a thing happening. I did a little research on the internet (since there was now no way I could get back to sleep) and decided that it probably wasn't anything major. Still, it was annoying. Every time I swallowed, I noticed it. It felt like I was trying to swallow my uvula (which probably is exactly what was happening.) It seems to be back to normal now, so I'm going to just do nothing. If this becomes a recurring thing, then I guess I'll go see a doctor, as much as I hate doctors. I hate them so much.
