Research sucks. Im working on development of two different sensors currently, both used to measure fluid flow. So one machine got contaminated, which means I cant do a critical step in making the artificial haircell. Ok, so I'll go back to making hotwire anemometers. Nope, machine for that broke as well. Anybody have a spare cryogenic pump? (I'll settle for a turbomolecular pump, but only if you can give me the controller, too...)
Had a 2 hour teleconference with people in Iowa, Virginia, Oregon, elsewhere on the UIUC campus, and Germany. I spoke for a half hour into the magical voice box. Its hard because I need to talk on a level the biologists, materials scientists, fluid mechanicists, and mathematicians can all understand, but also in a way where the experts in each field wont yell "but thats not how it is!!" Gets annoying. Ok, so it doesnt act like that...you know that, I know that, but does anyone else care?
Currently taking a few hours for myself. Fixing my cell phone and watching some Freaks and Geeks DVDs. Anybody up for some Age of Empires 3 this weekend?
