The summary for this story was going to be "Sydney Crosby is a hockey player, not a mother," but it was kind of a disaster in a lot of ways. I still like some of the bits of it, as story bits if not as story bits about Syd. Part of the idea for this story was that Syd never quite gets (at least in the parts I wrote) that Alex is in love with her

My original idea was that Syd isn't really into being a mother - sure, she'll probably have kids someday, but the day to day being a mom stuff isn't quite her thing - but I don't know if that really works given how much actual Sid loves kids, even though I think it would make a good story about someone.

the only sad thing about WIP amnesty posts are that the finished story won't be posted - I love the bare bones of this though (Sid & Ovi are *still* the pairing of my heart)
