PoC Author: Michelle Sagara, Cast In Chaos

Cast In Chaos is the sixth book in the Chronicles of Elantra series. I don't have much to say about it. I still love this series. I love Kaylin. I do not love that they're still using a font without appropriate ligatures, although at least there were fewer fieflords in this book.

I find Michelle Sagara's author's notes a little out of place; she talks about how this is a series with an overarching character arc but that can be read alone, but I'm not sure that's true. This story relies on the previous one and ends with not quite a cliffhanger but something that totally changes the world of the series.

One of the things that makes this series interesting is the power of storytelling within the story. Kaylin saves the world by telling stories.

(Once upon a time, I had a theory that great literature is all about storytelling, but I remember the grad student TA for the class I was taking at the time smacking that down.)
