You have struck a chord with me here. I can honestly say I am in the same boat on the excitedness deal. I should be excited because its summer, I am not; should be excited because I got an A in World War II, I am not; and should've been excited when I went to Italy, but I wasn't. Don't really have any wisdom to impart here, but I don't see it as a bad thing that I don't jump around the room dancing and screaming because of some supposedly exciting situation or stimulus (I just really felt like using the word stimulus). Maybe we are in a state of perpetual excitedness caused by the mysteries of life...
And don't fret about your posting on LJ. Manic/depressed posting is the bread and butter of journaling (note I have avoided using the awful term associated with online journals). Plus it is hard to talk about your life in an informative, but interesting way without letting a little of your emotion slip through.
That rendition of "Its Raining Men" sounds pretty impressive. Keep it plasmic Erin, you're a cool cool cat and good luck with the job hunt.
