:D Wow, the tension! And the dirt, and spiders, and moss, and sweat! You created the atmosphere very well, I actually cringed at the mess they are in!

I loved that last line! In fact, I loved the whole thing: Remus' hesitation, Sirius' cheery, witty confidence, James's and Peter's alcoholism.... (kidding about the latter, of course.)

And the bit of summer heat did me good this cold, wintry day!

This bit was great:Remus could only think about their hands wrapped together and that amazing flush on Sirius’ cheeks. Sweat lined Sirius’ forehead and Remus watched as it dripped down the side of his face. Remus suddenly wanted to lick his face.

This is gorgeously written, I'll return when time permits me to elaborate but wanted to leave a quick note that your language is luscious and the insect bit is an appealing detail that adds an element of reality. I wrote a cricket into a fic of mine, and I love that stuff when I'm reading outdoor scenes. Love the spider here in this summery moment, so that = win.
