Announcement: Small Gifts Bonus Round!
Still feeling creative after finishing your gift? Have some time over the holidays? Want to say thanks or happy new year to someone? Remember a prompt from sign-ups that you wish you'd gotten to play with? Want to play around with a drabblefest prompt from this year's countdown?
*drumroll* Announcing the 2011 bonus round! During the last few days of the fest, after all small gifts have been posted, rs_small_gifts welcomes bonus gifts from anyone who'd like to create them (you don't have to be a participant to play along)! Bonus gifts can be even smaller than our usual stocking stuffers--minimum word count: 100, drawbles and sketches welcome. Here's your chance to draw or write about R/S one more time in 2011.
What should you do?
1. Leave new prompts in comments to this post! Do you have an idea for a prompt you forgot to mention during sign-ups? Were you inspired by one the gifts? Have you been watching the comm but didn't get a chance to participate during the fest? Leave a few ideas here! There's no guarantee that anyone will claim them, but you might spark someone's interest!
2. Skim through the prompts at the original sign-up post, the countdown drabblefest or here, in comments to this post. Claim once you know until you know you'll have time to draw or write, at any point up until the deadline!
3. Claim, create, submit, and make someone happy! You can submit/put your gift in the queue by posting it to the community. Please use the header: "Bonus Art: Title" or "Bonus Fic: Title"! Remember, the bonus round is NOT an exchange--there's no matching up gift givers and recipients, and there's no guarantee that someone will create a gift for you. Like it says on the tin, it's extra!
Bonus gift makers, you've got ten days: DUE DATE: midnight your time, Tuesday, December 27th. Have fun!
4. Enjoy the extras! Bonus gifts will go up as soon as the regular exchange is over.
Please note:
* Your mods are not going to track down folks who signed up for the bonus round or assign pinch hitters--this is purely an extra ribbon on the gift, so to speak. But please remember that your recipients will probably be excited to hear you're creating something based on their prompts. Please only claim once you know you'll have time to deliver!
* Users can only have one gift in the queue at a time, so if your first gift hasn't been posted yet, LJ won't let you add anything else. Just wait until it's gone up and then you can submit!
