So many things I loved about this--the AU-ness of James being the de facto leader of what's left of the Order, Peter still being a part of them, the way Sirius and James interact and work together in the fight scene. I adore the way you've used magic--the old magic protecting him from all his blood relatives (which also made me laugh a little at pureblood inbreeding), also the way he felt some sort of magic running through Remus.

I wish this story was much longer, and I hope you expand on this universe some day. The scene with Fenrir and Remus was intriguing, and of course, the delicious chemistry between Sirius and Remus--I definitely want more of that! I love your characterization of Remus--his rambling and curiosity and lack of fear. This was really rather exciting and excellent! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. There's actually three more parts of this partially written that will get finished at some point. I had a ~~Plan~~ but it didn't work out in the time I needed it to and cutting it off here meant I was within the word limit, too.

AHHHH.

This is BEAUTIFUL.

I love that Sirius is a little bit insane and powerful, and that James is a leader - I love that Peter seems to be on the right side and I absolutely adored Remus' babbling, it was so realistic. He was so ... I guess it's brave, in front of new things but also smart enough to be slightly worried.

<3 Lovely, dear. Really lovely. And as with all of my favorite stories, I only wish there were more. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the babbling. I like to think about what a Remus without lycanthropy would be like, and I suspect slightly goofy :D There will be more some day (hopefully soonish). Thanks for reading/commenting.

Wow! This was gorgeous and very original.

This bit really struck me and helped set-up the fascinating world you created: He remembered coming here once as a boy with his father, before everything had changed, and he and Evan Rosier had played Exploding Snap beneath the table where Evan was now plotting the overthrow of Muggle England. That really speaks volumes about the situation, does it not?

You write action well - and that is saying a lot for me because I don't. necessarily follow action well. That probably makes me sound stupid, but it's pretty much true.

The introduction of Remus (and Greyback) was really compelling. And I loved Remus and his reaction to Sirius. "I'm not a Muggle I'm a professor." LOL

The kiss was beautiful. I totally did not want him to Obliviate Remus and I REALLY think that you need to write a Part Two of this.

Well done!

Thank you! You've no idea how happy it makes me to know that you enjoyed my action sequence there :D I always write to action-y type music to try to get the pacing right, so I'm glad that it worked and that you could follow it pretty easily. Sirius totally didn't want to Obliviate Remus either! Thanks for reading/commenting!

This is marvelous! I love Remus' bright curiosity and his babbling is adorable. And Sirius is brilliant, perfectly in his element through the fighting and the mad chase.
