The Joe Manifesto: (in 100 words or less)

May 30, 2007 23:57

OK, in an attempt to set the record straight I am going to make this post. For those of you who don't know, politically I lean heavily towards the Libertarian side. Which, for me, means I could care less about what you do as long as it doesn't adversely affect me. Seatbelt laws, drug laws, and transfat laws annoy me more that a little . It drives me crazy when when politicians try to save us by attempting to take Darwin out of the equation. Darwin was right. We need to thin the herd to remain strong.

But the actual life I lead is much more like an "extreme" right wing conservative. I go to church. I listen to non-NPR talk radio. The needs of my family comes before my wants. Technically, since I am a roman catholic, I am a born again christian. So in some eyes I am a "fundi" or a "jebus freak". And sometimes I even purchase Extreme White Bread. Because I am extreme. And white. And bread is yummy.

The whole point of this post is this: Being the psychotic right wing christian I am, have I ever tried to push my religious beliefs on anyone I know? If I have, please call me out on it. If questioned about ideas that are relative to a core belief of mine I will give a straight answer and some interesting conversation, but only upon being prodded. Please, lets call a truce. I am not trying to save you. Please stop trying to save me.
