Oh, this hurt so much. It's so perfectly canon and so believable that Remus would seek solace in alcohol. This was beautifully written despite the sadness of it and I enjoyed it.

so many tears! the last two paragraphs left me completely brokenhearted. this was truly angst done right...and i loved the way you treated the onset of the fear of the traitor, the way it was tearing them all apart even before halloween. a great take. the nabokov epigraph was also perfect and kind of had me tearing up before it even began. thank you for writing this!
