Dear, darling mystery author, I love this story in ways I can't fully articulate. There are moments here that make me misty everytime I read them. You are gifted writer; I would even go so far as to say you are a writer's writer, as your infinitely clever use of the prose proves. Every word is carefully chosen, your descriptions invoking a mood as well as a scene that plays out in the mind, and striking in me a wonderment at the absolute perfect phrasing ( ... )

This took me so long to write - I can't thank you enough for listening to me fret and read so many snippets and pieces, and for making me finish the damn thing. You are the best cheerleader and the best friend. This would have never been written if it weren't for you and our boys, and this story made me realize that I can do it.

Thank you so much, chica. I'm floored.

loved it! sirius being so protective and soft with remus, it was adorable and even cuter when he got mad. it was nice that you added something in about harry and teddy, though i would have liked it if you had added a little epiologue with them when they were older with harry and teddy. it just seemed like it ended so soon after the climax. fantastic though, well written and perfectly heartbreaking.

I apologize for the lateness of my response!

Thank you so much! I agree with you about the ending; originally, I had intended to end it in a very different way, but after I had a few people read it, there was a resounding call for me to change it. By that time, the deadline was looming, so...

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!

This story is absolutely breathtaking. It has highs and lows and a stark sense of painful realism that love can be strong without being fluff and ending can be happy and still be realistic. Beautiful, beautiful work.

God, this is fantastic. I love the way you show us this long-established relationship, all the things they do and don't talk about, and all the ways they know to hurt each other. One of my favorites of the games so far. :-)

Thank you so much! I'm sorry this response is so late in coming, but you've no idea how much I appreciate your kind words. ♥

Writing the arguments was very tricky, because they know just how to get under the other's skin, and how to communicate by saying nothing. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Perfect. Absolutely and utterly perfect. When I saw the summary I thought "Ugh, old Moony and Padfoot, what's the point?" (Not that I'm such a spring chicken myself) but this was amazing. It was very moving, and heartfelt, and the character's feelings and emotions were so well done, I fully empathized with each of them despite their conflicting views.

When Moony took the first potion, I thought you couldn't possibly describe that in any way that I would understand, but suddenly I was there, fearing for him, crying for him, remembering bouts of flu that couldn't even come close to what he was feeling, but just remembering how awful it was and how much I wished it was over.

Teddy staying the way he did was inspired, and my heart broke that he couldn't be with his Da properly through the ordeal, but had to face it alone and helpless.

A wonderful, wonderful story.

Thank you for sharing it.

I'm so sorry for this late response!

Thank you so much for reading, and for leaving me this wonderful response. I've got a soft spot for older!Moony&Padfoot, because there's such a richness and texture to their relationship when they're older that feels different in other eras. It was a blast to play with them at an age that not many people write.

Thank you so, so much.
