Wow, you conveyed the smothering sense of dread and hopelessness so well. Excellent use of the lyrics, the way you seamlessly wove them into the narrative was really chilling and well done. God, poor poor Remus. And I feel for all the guilt Sirius has to deal with for all those years.

I did not enjoy this but at the same time I loved it. That might not make sense but it is true. It is also meant as a compliment. This is one of those stories that is like well-made movie that makes you feel like shit. Leaving Las Vegas for instance is one of these. It is gorgeous, well-crafted, and utterly depressing. You love them because they are beautiful works of art, but they make you feel awful. This story is exactly like that.
