Oh, poor James. ;__; I enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the House and the way you wrote the characters.

The second person voice really worked here. I'm not usually a fan of it but it really puts us in Remus's head and his anxieties. This was a great AU - we see all the familiar characters written very much in character in a new situation. And your theme worked well too.

I did like the atmosphere of the House. For Remus here, who might have volunteered because of his own circumstances, finding out that he likes working there and has a calling was a nice touch. And along the way he finds Sirius too.

Well done.

i just want to cry for poor james, but the story totally worked. when i first saw the warnings about hiv, i was nervous, but this turned out to be a totally different and totally brilliant story. i liked how we never really knew absolutely for sure that remus would get sick. that really was a nice twist. and sirius was really cool and in character here.

I really liked the pov. Your use of canon characters and experiences (prison tattoos)was great. I really liked The House-no judging. Love the hopeful ending.

This was a compelling and touching story, sober but tempered by the underlying respect and warmth in the relationships in the House and the work they did, and the hope for the two of them at the end. Well done.
