Welcome!

Welcome to RS_Games 2011!
Come join us on a very special journey through the fantastical worlds of art and story. The Games are about having fun, spreading the love of our favorite ship, friendly competition, and, of course, going for Puppyshippers’ gold. Sure it’s a competition between teams, but it’s really more about making friends, having fun, and, most of all, experiencing some truly awesome art and stories.

Here is how it works: Team Remus will compete against Team Sirius by creating the best stories and artwork possible for readers to vote upon. An anonymous pair of works will be posted each day during the run of the Games (roughly one month), and readers will vote on each work. Note: there will be periodic breaks and catch-up days, so as not to overwhelm people. At the end of the Games, the winning team will be revealed but, as we see it, everyone is a winner. The public at large gets to read, view, and vote on the best fics and art works around, but the real fun is in the process of creating some wonderful R/S pieces to share!

More detailed info can be found HERE.

Voting is opened to the public, and we strongly encourage people to read, view, comment, and vote. This is what makes the Games exciting. RS Games participants may not vote, but they may certainly comment!

Voting Rules and Guidelines:
1. All stories and art are accessed via LJ, but, in order to accommodate extra length, will be hosted on DreamWidth. At the end of each work, a link will return the viewer to LJ for voting and comments. Please do take the time to vote and comment. All the participants have worked super hard, and feedback means a lot to them.

2. There are three voting questions and they are as follows:
  • Is the Team Character (Sirius for Team Sirius and Remus for Team Remus) most prominently featured? (this one is for   stories) or Does this piece of art adequately illustrate Sirius/Remus's point of view? (this one is for art) Yes/No vote ("yes" is worth 2 points, "no" is worth 0)
  • How well did the author/artist use their Prompt? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
  • How much did you like this story/art overall? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
The first question has to do with perspective, the second with the prompt (which will either be typed out of linked), and the third is purely your opinion as a voter.

3. Comments are made of pure love and are highly encouraged. However, please keep it positive. Flaming is not allowed and all offensive/hurtful comments will be removed. If, as a voter or a participant you find a comment offensive, please let a Mod know ASAP, and it will be taken down. Again, flaming and rudeness will not be tolerated. We really mean it! Trolls are only Magical Creatures and the only flaming allowed is Sirius swishing around in glam make-up and tight leather pants. SIRISULY!

4. Voting is open to the public, but team members and Mods cannot vote. We do, however, encourage all participants to comment on works and pimp the Games as much as possible. Remember, all works are posted anonymously, so we ask you to honor that and not pimp a work on your own journal by revealing the author/artist. Pimp the Games, pimp works you love, encourage people to read your team’s works, but please do not cheat and reveal yourself before Reveals. All votes are averaged so it does not matter as much how many people vote for any particular story or artwork, but it is nice to get as many votes as possible.
