What really bothers me about my mom is how she has no perception of what love does to people when she sees movies. She simply says, "Well... serves them right" or "He deserved to die, come on, they should have never even done that" or "They could have made it less obvious, they were idiots." She doesn't understand the underlying theme of tragic love stories, that it is better to experience love than to die without it. When i point the point of the movie out to her she pretends like she doesn't hear me. I think it is a visade, trying to pull out as many flaws as possible to not get emotionally involved.
