Climate Change Rant
When I read about the attacks of climate skeptics and climate deniers, I get mad as hell.
I'm tired of people, who have no understanding of the research and EXTENSIVE corroboration of data on climate change, running around parroting vitriolic denials of hard core data. Most of these people, from my encounters, blow off years of complex, carefully thought out analyses -analyses that they often have NO hope of actually understanding- with some stupid snarky comment, or by quoting some climate denier idiot like James Inhofe. To you people, I say you may as well say you don't believe in gravity, or that the theory of gravity is up for debate.
To those that are climate deniers for political reasons, or because of a short-sited self-aggrandizing agenda (this would include the Koch brothers, Newt Gingrich, the oil companies, and most of the Republican party), I would say that you should fry in a global warming hell.
Unfortunately, that is what you've condemned the rest of us to.
You've funded the harassment of scientists, assaulting them with death threats and nuisance law suits. You've used your money to buy unethical, weak-principled politicians who peddle your agenda of blocking any kind of meaningful climate action. You've paid for misleading ads and billboards that manipulate the minds of the easily persuaded, shallow-thinking American public. What this has done is to steal YEARS from our planet as we know it; it has staved off any meaningful action until it was too late. And now it's too late.
