Tiny Micro Nano Houses

Tiny, micro, and nano houses: I love them, and I love the philosophy behind them -use less resources, have more economic freedom, have a smaller carbon and actual footprint, re-purpose materials, and so forth.
This video, "Tiny Houses As Punk Rock," on the site listed below, never ceases to inspire me.  I'm currently modifying one of the designs to work in a hot climate like Florida.

What is it about these little structures?  I've always loved treehouses and tents, partly for their cozy self-contained nature. One can embed oneself in the heart of an outdoor environment in a way that is so much more intimate than a house.

I also like the tiny houses which can put on the back of a truckbed, like these houses from Tumbleweed Tiny House Company:

or houses that are at least movable, like this one:

Here is another interesting tiny house site:   http://portlandalternativedwellings.com/

A tiny house seems like a good retirement option. Who knows? Perhaps a tiny house is in my future.  At least a nano one is.
