Yep, that's right. I went to see them again. haha This time it was in Columbus, OH with Christy. I have to say, I hate Columbus. One of the worst cities ever. Bone was pretty good though. Didn't seem like they had as much energy has the last time but they have been on the road since last year. I would be tired too. They let a little kid on stage with them this time. It was really sweet. Layzie and Krayzie both gave him a hug and Layzie put his arm around him when he was rapping. The kid looked like he was going to cry he was so happy. :) Just another act of kindness to put on the list of why those thugs are so great.
Christy and I are also going to see Bone AGAIN on September 15th, in Cinci. We are going to get there early so we can be first in line and get right up front on the barricade for the show. It also means that Christy will have to start getting ready the night before if we are going to make it on time. HA! Just playing. :)
Last night I went to a show in Scottsburg. Good show. It was MY show until someone (hereafter referred to as "the all-knowing jackass") decided he knows how to run shows better than me and that he did ALL the work. Just for the record, I asked Robie from MSD if they would consider playing a Scottsburg show, he said yes and ROBIE picked the bands that he wanted to play the show. Then I contacted all the bands, worked out a date for the show, and a lineup that made everyone happy. "The all-knowing jackass" then volunteered to pay for the building and I agreed to let him. From that point on, it was a train wreck. I would also like to say that I advertised the show as $5 but "the all-knowing jackass" decided $7 would be a better price for the people of Scottsburg to pay for a show that just had four bands, two of which they hadn't even heard before. Sounds stupid, right? That's what I thought. So anyway, the bands got screwed on the money they could have gotten for playing that show because I know of AT LEAST 15 people that showed up and left when they found out the price at the door. Which btw, also made me look like a jackass because my name is on the flyer.
My question is, If I didn't do anything, then how did the bands get invited, the date get set, and the lineup get confirmed? Where did the idea for the show come from? Isn't that how everything starts out, whether it's a show or not, as an idea? Should I have paid for the building myself? Yep. That's where I went wrong. I put my trust in someone that I knew would fuck it up. I was stupid. I made a fool out of myself in front of my friends.
Two words to finish this rant: Never again
