- What is the tuition fee for Strelka Institute’s programme? Does the institute provide accommodation or stipends?
There are no tuition fees. Education in Strelka Institute is free; all the students receive monthly stipends. Accommodation is not provided.
- What kind of degree will I receive?
Strelka Institute does not award state-recognized degrees. Participants receive certificates that confirm completion of the institute’s programme.
- I’m neither an architect nor a designer. Can I apply to Strelka?
You do not have to be an architect or a designer to study at Strelka Institute. We accept applicants with backgrounds in journalism, sociology, economics, cultural studies, and other fields of expertise.
- My English isn’t so good. Can I apply to Strelka?
Unfortunately, you cannot. During the research process, students work in close collaboration with foreign tutors and instructors. Fluency in English is essential.
- English is my native language. Do I still have to present English proficiency certificate?
No, if English is one of the official languages of your country of citizenship you do not need to present any certificate.
- I studied at a university where all the courses were taught in English. Do I still have to present English proficiency certificate?
No, if you studied there for 4 years and received a degree, you do not need to present any certificate.
- Can I work while studying at Strelka?
The programme is very intense, so it is not possible to work while studying at Strelka.
- What does Status of the application stand for?
The profile status reflects the stage of the admission process for your application. Please check the Status of your application regularly.
The list of possible statuses is below:
- Not Confirmed - You have not confirmed your e-mail address and therefore you cannot submit your application to the Admission Board even if you have filled out all the necessary fields. As you get registered, the application system sends you a confirmation letter. You have to follow the link in this e-mail. If you have not received such an e-mail, please request another confirmation letter. If during the registration process you fill out an incorrect e-mail address, you will have to register once again.
- Confirmed - You have confirmed your e-mail address, but you have not submitted your application to the Admission Board. You can do it after you have filled out all the necessary fields.
- Validation - The Coordinator is checking whether your application form is filled out correctly and all the necessary documents are attached.
- Correction - Your application form is not filled out correctly, or some of the required documents are not attached. You have received a message from the Coordinator telling you what you have to do in order to fill in the form correctly. After you have corrected the application form you have to click on “Submit Profile to Admission Board” again.
- Rating - Your application is being reviewed by the Admission Board.
- Invitation - You have passed the first stage of the admission process and are invited for an Admission Event August 26-27.
- Deleted - Your profile is deleted.
- Declined - The application has been declined. You could try again next year.
- Accepted - You have been accepted as a student of Strelka Institute. Congratulations!
