"Web Journal"

Aug 29, 2005 17:17

So, I have this manilla folder labeled "Web Journal." In it are all of the things (mostly articles from Newsweek) about which I have an opinion and want to write. I started collecting them last year after we moved. I'm just now getting to the folder.

You see, I hoped that this web journal would be a good place for me to vent my frustration at the government, executive home developers, the media, and stupid people in general. I also wanted to write about my experience with CRPS, because there's not a lot of firsthand information out there. Finally, I thought chronically our adoption would be just great!

As anyone who is actually reading this knows, I haven't done any of that.

So, today, I'm trying. We'll see what happens, if I keep this up. Procrastination and follow-through just don't go together.

Some of the articles, by the way, are about:
- gay marriage
- Iraq
- religion (and religion as it pertains to politics, separation of church and state)
- college
- abortion (see also, religion)
- money (business, social security, how the government is bleeding normal people dry to give tax cuts to the rich)
- the Contra Costa County Urban Limit Line
- Social Security (see also, money)
- SuperNanny
- the environment
- smoking
- parenting
- music
- sports (yes, sports, from me; Max has rubbed off, I guess)
- voting rights
- immigration
- health and medicine (see also, religion)
- furor over the Newsweek report of the flushed Koran
- the murder of 2 girls by 1 of their fathers

That's a lot to write about, and it doesn't even cover the other two topics. Well, if you've read this far, maybe there will be more for you to read some other time.

TTFN!
