Wow, I had a few weird dreams past few days
So past few days have gone as planned... Wake up at 11 chill on the internet watching CDRR (Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers) and then taking a bath and getting ready for work at 3. Work ensues and then at 9 we close work and I finish washing dishes and then at 9:30 we go home.
Well when I go to bed, I had a dream two nights ago about Ellen being in this white rose flower garden.. These roses were WHITE!!! Whiter than all the Madison families in Madison combined. It was like I was drugged up and the colors were so vivid. That's all for the dream two nights ago.
Now onto dream #2 - I think it started as me carrying my bass trombone to the band hall at USM. Before I entered the building, I saw eyewitness news reporters and news vans outside, where the loading dock is at USM. I go into the band hall and I see 3 band directors on the podium and boy they looked pissed. So I glance around and I see EVERY chair FILLED in a band setup except for one... Yes, it was my seat that was empty. I don't think a rehearsal was going on but everyone seemed angry at me. No one had their instruments out, and it seemed to me the Mr. Cook was the one that told me to put my instrument in closet by the piano... you know, the closet where all the stands go. Well, I opened the closet and there were reporters COMMENTATING about LIONS BAND!! That's right... the reporters were looking at everyone's cases and doing a play-by-play on each kid as they came to their case. I heard them say "Oh wow Dan, Justin Rogers this year is a sophomore, and he's already first chair TUBA!! I can't imagine what kind of power he'll contribute to the section in the years to come." Oh man... I heard a few more comments about the kids but for some reason I felt left out of the group. It had to be Lions band cause the directors looked like them cause they were all in white and it was like I was a year younger in Ellen and Greg's age level.
I'm not sure what to make of that dream but it wasn't disturbing or disappointing, but just weird.
Anyway, on a normal note, (pun intended) I won a King 3b tenor trombone off of ebay which I will be practicing my butt off with all summer. I called the guy today who auctioned it off because I wasn't getting any of his emails about shipping, but he told me that he got mine and he also gave me the tracking number for the trombone, so that was a bonus. He said that it should be in Wednesday or Thursday.
