My week in Madtown and more!!
Wow..... where do I start!!!!
MONDAY: Wake up at 7 to bring my Truck to the shop for an oil change and fluid check up. Then at 8 I go work with my dad until 12.. 12 comes along and dad brings me to the shop to pick up the truck so I can get ready for the Madison trip. I start her up and pull her out of the parking lot on the way to my credit union (bank) and I stop at a stoplight and the Truck dies...... WTF??? then I start her back up and it only makes it a few hundred feet then dies so turn the frozen steering wheel and brake pedal into the turning lane and call dad for help. He turns around and comes back to me and he calls the shop to come get a tow truck and I keep working with dad until 3 I call mom when she gets off work and tell her that the truck died. She's like "Ross, I know you've been looking forward to going see Ellen, but you might have to stay home." My stomach was aching all over when I heard this and I was about to cry. I told my dad I had to take a break cause I felt like throwing up. So mom comes pick me up and we go look at rental cars. Enterprise is thx. ggkthx
Got the weekly rate which is 200 dollars but the truck is dead so that won't be bad anyway. They give me the keys to a Mercury Sable!!
8 PM: I eat some good rice-stuffed chicken and then I get a quadruple shot frappe and it's off to NOLA for Ellen's return. I get there at 11 and wait for the flight because it's 2 hours late and then we're on the way to JAXN!!! We stop at Krystal for a late night meal and we get to Ellen's house at 4 am.... Tiredness.
TUESDAY: woke up late and ate a late lunch at Swensons at 4:30 only to be executed at OUTBACK at 7. RIBS AND CHICKEN THEN A CHOCOLATE THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER!!! BARF!!! We meet up with Adam and Hope and Lauren at Waffle house and then we call it a night at 12.
WEDNESDAY: KYOTO's for lunch and damn that was some good japanese food... afterwards we go around looking for a nightclub that lets people 18 and up stay for the night but naturally, we find none. Never have I ever saw a club where there's a dress code involved.. Being from Louisiana spoils you cause all we know how to do is club and drink. But, we head on over to Adam's and watch Kill Bill volume 1 and I loved it.
THURSDAY: we eat Nan's leftover chicken fajitas and man they are so good when left in the fridge over night :) YUM! Ellen and I decide to meet Jen and Kaleb her bf at Starbucks so I can get some caffeine for my trip back to Lafayette. Unfortunantly, Brandy and Shane and Natalie and Colin and Jake and them couldn't visit with us if we were to go to Hattiesburg cause of work.. sorry guys, I guess we'll have to wait till band camp :(... after coffee, Ellen treats me to Lenny's then we eat at her house, and then she sends me off with a big hug and kiss then I'm off.
TODAY!!! mom wakes me up with a phone call at 11:30 saying that my truck is dead so she and dad are gonna pick up another CAR OR TRUCK TOMORROW !?!??! wtf! I loved my truck. I guess it has sentimintal value for me. On the other hand, it was time for a new truck and I can't argue with myself(although it's really fun to do)
What should I get guys?? I'm thinking a truck cause I could haul stuff and be able to see over everyone else!! I thought my truck was gonna last another year but I guess it's time for something new.
