Music meme - Kirk/McCoy

Oct 30, 2009 00:03

1. Pick a character, fandom, pairing, friendship, whatever.
2. Put on your music program on shuffle/random and start playing songs.
3. For each song, write something inspired by the song related to the theme you chose earlier. You only have the song length. No pre-planning and no writing after the song is over. No skipping songs either.
4. Do 10 songs and post. Make sure to include the song name/artist.

So, these aren't like, amazing or anything and I maybe might have cheated on one just a little bit, but there was sex, so it was harder, but shhh, but it seemed like a good idea at the time *shrugs* Oh, and, obviously, the pairing I picked was Kirk/McCoy

Learn My Lesson - Daughtry

It didn't matter how many times he'd been burned, because he always went back for more.

He's been hurt, he doesn't know how many times, and he wishes that he could just walk away and say that's enough, to let go of the hope that he'd find the one, but then he smiles at him and he remembers why he keeps trying, why he doesn't want to give up after the last time.

He walks over to him and he can't help but smile, because though he's sure he should have learned his lesson by now, knows that striking the match is bound to get him burned, that he's pretty sure it's a risk he's willing to take.

Don't Stop Believing - Glee Cast

He'd never met anyone like Jim Kirk. Life kept throwing punches at him and instead of giving up, he kept swinging. It didn't matter how bad things got, he always found a way to make things seem alright. Always looking for a way to make things better. He never stops believing, because he knows that life goes on, that it is what you make it and it's something McCoy will always envy about him. His resilience to just go on when all seems lost.

You Save Me - Kenny Chesney

It was reckless, Jim knew it was, and if McCoy hadn't been there he's not sure he would have made it this time.

"I'm sorry," Jim said when he was finally back in sickbay being treated. McCoy huffed and kept working. "I didn't mean for it to happen."

"You have to be more careful, Jim," McCoy sighed, finally looking Jim in the eyes. "I try my best, but I can't always be there for you. I don't know what I'd do if you..."

"I won't, Bones. I promise, I'll be more careful."

"You better. I can't save your ass every time you decide to do something crazy." Jim just nods at McCoy because he knows no force in the universe would stop McCoy from saving him.

Come On Get Higher - Matt Nathanson

No matter what he did he couldn't forget. He'd close his eyes and he'd be there and it was so real that he could feel all the kisses, all the touches that occurred between them, all the love they'd shared. He wants to hold on to those feelings, because they remind him of a better time, before everything went wrong, before they decided they'd be better off not together. They remind him and he misses him, the way he laughed, his smile, the feeling of him lying beside him at night, his breath on his neck, the goofy smile on his face after they'd made love. They remind him and it's wrong, because he shouldn't remember. He should move on, because they're just memories and the image that he has of the perfect time they had together won't ever come back. He misses him and he wants to feel like he's drowning in his love again, but he can't. He wishes he could make him believe that they could go back to how they were that they work things out, that they could just forget about all the bad things, but this was what they decided and he has to live with that decision. He opens his eyes. Everything worked in his eyes, everything was perfect - he opens his eyes because he doesn't want to see them anymore.

Just A Dream - Carrie Underwood

He sits down in the back of the room and tries to stop his tears from falling. He won't ever forget the feeling he got when Jim had died. It didn't seem possible that someone so full of life had ceased to exist, but sitting there in the room with everyone else who was mourning the death of their captain, he had no choice but to admit that it was really happening. He didn't know how long he'd sat there, not listening to anyone, not acknowledging anyone who talked to him, just sitting there and staring straight forward at the box that now held the man that he loved. Soon he was alone, everyone else had finally left and McCoy left his seat and walked to the front of the room.

"You weren't supposed to die, Jim," McCoy said, a tear falling down his face. "You told me you wouldn't leave me. We were supposed to be together forever. Retire from Starfleet, get a nice little country house on earth. You remember that, right? How am I supposed to do that without you?" Another tear falls as he stares at the box. He doesn't dare lift the lid, because he doesn't want to see. They'll be burying him tomorrow - McCoy had insisted they go back to earth instead of the traditional sending off into space - and as long as he didn't look, didn't see that Jim's death was definite, then he could convince himself that this had all just been a dream. At least for one more day. He gives the box one last glance before turning and walking away.

Kiss A Girl - Keith Urban

McCoy pulled Jim close to him, capturing his lips with his own and kissing him. It's been a long time since McCoy has been with someone. Jocelyn broke his heart and left him with nothing and he swore that he'd never love anyone that much ever again, but that was before he met James Tiberius Kirk. He wanted to ignore the way he felt about him, but he found that he just couldn't.

"Are you sure?" Jim asked when they pulled apart.

"I don't want to be lonely anymore," McCoy responded as he pulled Jim in for another kiss. He felt Jim hold on to him tight as he lowered down to the ground. It'd been so long, but this felt right. He looked into his eyes and smiled and kissed him again.

Love Your Memory - Miranda Lambert

"I can't do this anymore," Jim said. "We tried. We tried hard, but this isn't working."

"Jim, don't be an idiot. Let's talk about this."

"I can't, Bones. All we do is fight and I don't want to fight anymore. I don't want my only memories of being with you to be bad ones. We were good together - Hell, we were amazing, but we can't make this work anymore."

"So just like that, it's over?"

"Just like that."

"Jim," McCoy said, reaching a hand out of touch his arm. Jim flinched away from him.

"Don't. I don't want to touch you, or feel you. I just want to love your memory." Jim ignored the tear that was falling down McCoy's face and turned away to hide his own. It was better o end this now, he was sure of it. He took a deep breath and walked away.

10 Rounds With Jose Cuervo - Tracy Byrd

"I think you've had enough, Bones," Jim laughed as McCoy downed another shot.

"Nope, I'm drinking until I can't remember her name," McCoy slurred.

"Downing tequila to forget the woman who divorced you and took everything you own is so not your style, Bones," Jim insisted, trying to take the next shot away from McCoy.

"Don't be such a downer and take some shots, dammit," Bones said, handing one over to Jim.

"Fine," Jim said, taking the shot. He never was one to pass up an opportunity to get drunk.

"There ya go!" Bones said, taking another shot. Jim followed his shot with one of his own and slammed the glass down on the bar. Jim lost count of the number of shots they sat there and did together, and he was certain that McCoy did as well. He stopped caring, though, because soon McCoy's hands were on either side of Jim's head and he was being pulled in for a kiss.

"Have we achieved your goal, then?" Jim laughed when they pulled away for air.

"Wha' goal?" McCoy asked.

"To forget about Jocelyn..."

"Dammit, Jim, don't say her name," McCoy said, whacking Jim playfully on the side of the head before shouting out to the rest of the bar, "Next rounds on me!" Jim laughed again when everyone cheered. The rest of the night was sure to be interesting.

Kiwi - Maroon 5

"Always wanted to do this," McCoy says as he pushes Jim down onto the bed. They were both naked seconds after entering the room and Jim was more than happy to allow McCoy to manhandle him. "I see you every night at the bar, flirting with anything that moves and leaving with whoever'll have you and it makes me think - about what you're doing, what you're feeling... and then it makes me want to be the one to have you on your back, to make you moan."

"Fuck, Bones," Jim moans and arches his back.

"That's pretty much the idea," McCoy answers and trails kisses down Jim's chest until he's gotten to Jim's cock. He takes in into his mouth, sucking and licking and causing Jim to arch his back beautifully. He smirks when Jim moans as he slips two fingers inside of Jim and this was exactly what he was hoping for. He let's Jim slip from his mouth when he feels Jim's hands grasp his hair and faster than he knew he was capable of, he's back on top of Jim, Jim's legs spread obscenely wide and hitched over his shoulders and before Jim can make another sound he's slipping into Jim's tight heat. They both moan at the feeling and McCoy doesn't waste any time before pulling back and thrusting in hard.

"Gonna fuck you better than you've ever been fucked, Jim," McCoy says and Jim thrusts back into him. No more words are exchanged as they both focus completely on what they're doing, McCoy fucking Jim so hard that it's all Jim can do to just hold on and not blackout. Jim's sure he'll be feeling this one for days. Neither of them are aware of the time that passes as they move almost violently together but soon Jim's coming and the added pressure makes McCoy follow him seconds later. Jim's legs slip to the bed and McCoy collapses on top of Jim's body as they struggle to catch their breath.

"Had no idea you wanted to do that," Jim said between breaths. "You know, all you had to do was ask."

My List - Toby Keith

"I have a list of things I want to do before I die," Jim says out of the blue one night at the bar.

"Really?" McCoy asks. "And what kinds of things are on this list?"

"Well, the obvious is to become captain of my own starship," Jim says and McCoy nods.

"Obviously."

"Reconcile with my mother. Find actual Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters..."

"You know that was just a book..."

"And have like five of 'em."

"You're an idiot."

"Tell my best friend that I love him," Jim said, suddenly finding his glass extremely interesting.

"...Jim."

"Ever though I know he doesn't feel the same and that's alright, because I don't expect him to, it's just one of those things I don't want to regret having never done."

"Stop babbling, Jim," McCoy said. He reached a hand out to grab his head and pulled him in for a kiss. When they pulled away Jim looked at McCoy with wide eyes and McCoy smirked. "So tell me what else is on this list."

"Well," Jim said, smiling wide. "Skydiving-"

"I hope you don't expect me to go with you on that one..."
