...here's my excuse for the writers...
Okay, so I was thinking about this weeks HIMYM and how they had the huge continuity error with Barney's age and his '16' years of sexual activity and how if he was 23 when he lost his virginity then that would make him 39 years old and he's obviously not... BUT then I was thinking about the end of First Time In New York after Barney told everyone how he really lost his virginity to Rhonda and there's an awkward pause before Marshall says "Hey, why don't you tell us again about your first time at camp in the Catskills" and then they accepted that story, and we all know that sometimes they just accept stories from Barney even though they're obviously not true (ie, Bob Barker)... earlier when Barney started that story he said he was 17. Now, simple math tells you that if he was 17, with 16 years of sexual experience, that puts him at 33 (34 depending on how his birthday falls during the year?) and since Marshall was the one who made the charts it's conceivable that he was accepting Barney's "Dirty Dancing" story.
Soooo, more continuity then we all gave the writers for, or me grasping at straws? I'm thinking the latter lol
