Ok, this probably dates me as a fossil. Today I wish I had my own personal E.T. I finished day 3 of my exercise REGIMEN (Grrrr). Its not too much, but I ran a mile and then biked a mile. Afterwords, I felt beat. My heart and lungs apparently don't remember how to actually be used. If, however, I possessed my own E.T. I'd make him do that glowing finger thing and heal me up.
Anyhow I'm really happy about the ample responses to my lj. My strategy is to find topics that can interest other people and stimulate some discussion. I don't know how well I'll succeed, but I want to prune from the list below.
The topic I'll eliminate today is.... Book Club!
I'm not really killing the topic. What I suggest is this-> Someone should be the group leader. (I nominate book_fairy due to her wholly appropriate name?? Of course, others may volunteer if they so wish). The group leader needs only to write a short intro entry about the book of the reading period (I suggest a reading period of 2-3 weeks.) Then we can all post comments on the group leader's lj. Book selection should rotate between all book members. Each book period a different person should suggest a book for the club to read. To make it interesting, that same person should also make up two questions to start the discussions going. What do my friendly future book club members think?
