What a crazy few days. Wednesday night I camped out with Mike S outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings that opened in Waterford. First 100 people got free wings for a year. We were there for about 12 hours. It was like a non-stop party. Anyway it comes out to 312 wings I’ll be eating for free. I was so gross and smelly afterwards but I had to go straight to class. I feel sorry for the people near me. After that I skip thermo to take a 2 hour nap before the night open climb I worked. Also a lot of fun. I love working out there at night. There were glow sticks and staff had head lamps. I had to do my first rescue. Things got so ridiculously tangled. At one point we were going to try and cut her support lines to lower her down but my rescue bag didn’t have the sheers. She was pretty scared but we lowered her down eventually. 168 people showed up to this climb more then doubling the last open climb. I didn’t get off work till 12:30 AM and the next day I had an early class which I had to do my homework for. So that was another night with not much sleep.
That evening my room mate Josh and I entered an air hockey tournament at the wing place that they had as part of the grand opening. They kept delaying the start so Josh Allison and I go down the street to The Sports Authority to see if we could get some practice in (we don’t mess around) They normally don’t let people play the tables on display but this one guy total hooked us up. He was opening packages to get paddles and pucks and stuff. Back at the event they had Madden football, foosball, and wacky boxing competitions too. Josh and I won our first games and played each other our 2nd with Josh winning that. He finished the tournament today and WON THE CONTEST WINNING THE TABLE!!!! So that’s guna be in our apartment tomorrow. Back to yesterday; I was doing stuff till about 3:30AM when I realized I had to work the next day at 8:15 AHHH! I worked like 9 hours today. It was my first time facilitating the high course alone. I really love that this job challenges me pretty much every day I work. Anyway a ton of cool things have been happening recently. I think the past 3 nights might add up to 8 hours of sleep total so I’m going to sleep. And I guess I have studying all day tomorrow to look forward to.
