[The first thing audible is the cracking of branches underfoot and a rumble like rocks breaking and a growl on the edges of hearing and the screen is dark, as if covered--

[After a moment, the screen flips open, revealing a startled Kefka in the town square. Above him, in the sky, is something dark and long and looping and growing larger as it nears--Kefka turns to face it, then follows it as it circles down, down, down--]

[and something large and dark and growling lands in the middle of the town square and something large and (a tail?) whips out and--
the camera goes dark. Audio off.]

[The camera fizzles back on. Kefka is covered in dust and bleeding from his nose and mouth, cheeks bruised and armor dented and the general store wall around him is cracked, but his smile is wide and triumphant.]
