Draw, Sleep! [And he lashes a hand out, directing the spell at the rampaging chocobo. ...It was worth a shot, but he wasn't holding his breath on its success or anything.]

He slowed to a stop a few feet away from Snow, watching him catch his breath for a moment while he crossed his arms over his chest.]
The hell'd you do to make it that mad? [Surprisingly, an edge of dry humor snuck into his voice. He had a few ideas playing out in his mind.]

Chocobos are friendly by nature... I doubt just saying 'hello' ticked it off. [And here, he -- with a big space between him and the bird -- inspects the sleeping chocobo curiously, as if it'll give him the answer.]

I know that. Chocobos are pretty popular on Cocoon, or at least babies are. Maybe this one's been mistreated in the past by people.

Maybe. And I haven't seen any chocobos here prior to now. Assuming she got whisked away from her world like the rest of us, there's a good chance she got agitated and scared by the new surroundings. [But... he's just grasping at straws here.]
