[Snow hasn't quite noticed that his sticklike handheld has a couple of different features, yet. He just flips it open and starts talking, in the hopes that Fang or Light still has theirs... wherever they are

[He got a little sidetracked with how, at first glance, you look really familiar. And since he's already on the feed, he'll just give you a dry and totally unenthusiastic run-down.]
Your friends probably aren't here.
...That thing is your only means of communication here, and it only communicates with the people in this town. Welcome... to the town of Never Was. [But he doesn't really mean it. This place sucks.]
[He's linefacing at you, Snow. Funny joke wasn't that funny. :|]
Guy named Xemnas is the self-proclaimed mayor here... (...l'Cie? Must be something only his world has.) There aren't any... "l'Cie" here that I know of. [...Shrug. Personally, he hates everything about this town, so that isn't a fair question to ask.]
Depends on who you talk to. [Another shrug. He couldn't care less.] But you're better off not relying on other people. Especially here.
Maybe not by your enemies. There are monsters here. They call them Heartless and apparently they feed off peoples' hearts. I haven't seen them in town yet, but you should probably think twice before you get any bright ideas about wandering into the outskirts.
[Familiar with Light's gunblade, he's imagining a weapon that transforms between a function sword and key. In fairness it's still less ludicrous than a sword that explodes when you pull a trigger...]
Damn. At least the monsters on Gran Pulse just tried to eat you like a normal monster. They tough?
[He's really not too far off... Scarily enough. Considering the Keyblade he saw was literally a giant key that they used to beat monsters to death with.]
Not really. Hit 'em once with a good strike and they vanish. For a while. I heard there are tougher ones, but--... [The last one anyone's seen, to his knowledge, was in Xemnas' mansion about a week ago. He didn't fight it, but he heard from the others...] If they show up, you'll know...

[It's obviously a joke. Snow is grinning and everything. He has no idea that this guy makes Light look well-adjusted]
So who's in charge here? And what do they hate? It'd be a nice change if "l'cie" wasn't the first answer to the second question.

[Clearly this is not a land of sane names]
People drop in like I just did often, I guess? What's the usual procedure here?

Yeah. There's a hotel - you can't miss it - that lets you stay for free. Other than that... You're on your own.

On my own? Is that really the attitude here?
[Doesn't surprise him.]
If I'm not being hunted, it's a step up.

[Snow's imagining that to judge by his expression. Ewwww.]
And they just... run around?

[He puts a hand on his hip and shifts his weight.]
Ask one of the Keyblade people. They can tell you.

[Snow'll pull a NORA here if he has to. And he'd enjoy it immensely]

[No, it doesn't make any sense to him either. He's still not sure what makes those Keyblade things so special.]

[Snow doesn't want to hear a 'no' here. He's a hero, not a 'run from the things because they're somehow invincible' guy.]
