It had been like a mad house around here and Julie was gone. She couldn't take being here anymore. She has been staying at Miranda's honestly...I am glad that she has her mom now, but I miss her. She was so much like a daughter it broke my heart.. I needed to find a place to live on my own and get my mind off of this ( Read more... )

I walked into my room, noticing a piece of paper on the dresser. I picked it up and read it, dialing the phone number Edward had left me and waiting for him to pick up. I couldn't decide if i was annoyed with him for taking off and not telling me...I guess I was mostly annoyed that he ask me to go with him.

I heard the phone ringing and rushed to answer it

"Edward Lawrence"

I stated cooly then heard a very annoyed Phoebe on the other end. Uh oh I am in the dog house now. I softly spoke

"Hello darling..."

"Oh, no, don't 'darling' me!" I said, making sure he knew I was irritated. "You're not getting outta this one that easy."

"Why'd you just leave? You couldn't spare the 30 seconds it would have taken to tell me?" I asked with a frown.

"Glad to know how much you care." I added sarcastically under my breath. I knew it wasn't fair, but I was really tired, and really stressed, and the last thing I'd needed...or expected...was edward skipping out on me.

"Darling..I am so sorry. I was feeling rather useless and so much was happening. I couldn't take the press on the front lawn, screaming horrible things about Julie. I needed out. When Mr Giles said that he could arrange a room for me here I took him up on it. Please don't be angry with me."

I said softly sitting on the side of the bed

"I was wondering if you would like to join me for dinner this evening? The two of us...and if the stress of the media is effecting you as well you could stay with me."

I was not trying to push, but I did so hope she would stay the evening with me.

Adoration....that sounded nice. I smiled as he kissed me and held me close to him...I didn't want him to ever let go. The waiter stopped at our table and put the food down, and I looked it over.

"It all looks amazing." I said, but I was unwilling to move from my spot in his arms, at least right then. The moment was perfect...everything was perfect. I didn't want to spoil anything.

I laid back and absently ran my fingers over the back of his hand, hoping that nothing majorly bad was going on at home or with Julie.

(Can't you just live in the moment, for once, pheebs?)

I gently kissed her on the side of her head and then kissed the back of her hand.

"Darling, if you don't wish to eat here we can have them package it and return to the hotel."

I said softly into her ear.

"It is your choice, whatever makes you most comfortable"

Edward offered to get the food boxed up and go back to the hotel. I thought for a second, rolling around the suggestion in my mind. He wasn't pushy about it or anything...just trying to do want I wanted, what I was comfortable with. Something I could get used to...I was already used to it, in fact. It was nice.

"That sounds perfect." I said with a smile, waiting until the waiter came back and asking to have everything packed up to take with us.

I kiss her passionatly, the first time this whole evening.

"You are in control of this evening. If at anytime you feel uncomfortable, do please let me know"

I said softly as I paid for our meal and left the waiter a nice tip. I guided her to the door where the carriage was waiting to drive us back to the hotel.

I guided her into the carriage and followed sitting next to her and gathering her into my arms, setting the food aside certain to not forget it.

"Are you certain you are alright?"
