So, I'm back from the ski trip tonight. And I board a plane for Maryland to see my dad in less than 12 hours. I should really be packing right now. But I'm not, cause Tim wanted me to write about the ski trip. Okay, so I wouldn't be packing even if I weren't doing this. I'd probably just be doing something that rhymes with packing.
Anyway, the ski trip was a lot of fun. We stayed in Breckenridge, and skiied at Loveland. I skied a lot of runs that were easier than I'm used to, but that's cause it's what my friends were skiing. Although, I did do a few easy mogul runs. I suck at moguls, and they aren't quite as fun, but I wanted to try them anyway. I got to ride the world's highest chair lift up to the continental divide, where the view was stunning. And then I had two spectacular wipeouts on my way down. Both of them were face-first falls. On the first, I did a couple of somersaults before I stopped; on the other one, I just slid facefirst into a snowdrift. Anyway, my favorite run, hands down, was Richatd's Run. Just the right amount of slope, and wide enough that I can stay in control.
As for the non-skiing activities, I watched a lot of movies, and played a lot of gameboy in the cabin. There also was a fair amount of cards. I won a game of Hearts, and was totally kicking everyone's asses in Spades. We had a massive 13 player game of Spoons, too.
On one night, after a bit of drinking, I went to help the other guys track down which house the SUV full of hot girls was at. So we were running around in the dark, diving into snow-filled ditches when we saw a car coming, and looking into houses trying to find the right place. Overall though, there was actually much less drinking than I expected. We even had to pour out the last bit of the keg.
Yeah, so that's the ski trip in a nutshell. At least, what I remember right now. I'm certainly looking forward to doing it again next year. :)
