I'm going to Gen Con this year. It's the first large convention I've ever been to and the first time I'll actually meet face to face with my employers. So I have a few questions:
1. When do you talk business at these sorts of things, as opposed to just enjoying yourself?
2. What's fun there and why? Keep in mind that I'm strictly an RPG guy. I don't do cards, minis or little cardboard cits that represent SS commandos. I don't object to any of those, but it's not my thing.
3. I've figured out how much the bare bones expenses are. How much do you folks usually spend in the way of ancillary costs like food and wares?
4. Is there any feature or event there that's particularly useful, writing-wise?
5. Is there anything else to tell me about it that I haven't thought of?
If you answer, thanks!
