I was debating between three different options for you: The Self-Insert, The Anti-Hero, and The Tough One. Out of those three, I think I'm leaning the most towards The Self-Insert and The Anti-Hero overall. I think with The Self-Insert type you can be the kind of unique hero you want to be (I'll show you what HERO TIME in all it's twisted, sadistic, loathsome definition they never tell aspiring heroes at the village is all about made me think you'd have a different take on being a "hero" than most video games tend to portray...so The Self-Insert type would probably be a great option for you and your awesome hero portrayal!).
As for The Anti-Hero vote, I can see characters in that type fitting rather well for your positive/negative traits...and they're one of the few hero types willing to enjoy doing what they want and daring life as they please as well. Anti-Hero characters are calm with a temperamental edge, cautious (but have impulsive streaks), can be both stoic/emotional depending on the situation, aggressive (or peaceful so long as what they want isn't compromised), and pretty vengeful. A lot of your "The journey begins..." section answers reminded me of the Anti-Hero type as well...many of them sounded like things I could picture characters in that type saying. They're not the most outgoing type out there (although they do have a tendency to speak their minds, like Haseo from .hack//G.U.), but I think that trait would probably fit The Self-Insert vote more overall anyways. :)
