Brilliant, really. I sent Ronald off to the store to buy some new Christmas lights while I untangle the strings I have and put them on the tree. Aside from a quick spell I used to untangle the lights, I have insisted on doing it all the Muggle way, so I think Ron is going to take his time with returning home. And that should give me enough time to wrap his presents and make them look perfect, *in a bit of a louder voice* and I just know Crookshanks won't tear up the paper and chase the ribbons because he is such a good cat! *with her regular voice* That, and I found a ward that I can cast around the tree that'll repel him. Humanely, of course.

I've decided that I am going to have a bit of Christmas at our flat, since I have no idea what Ron intends to do about visiting Molly, I've asked him all month and he hasn't said a word about it. I bought presents for all of the Weasleys just in case. I have half the mind to contact Molly myself. *Sighs*

Oh! I'm knitting blankets for the homeless shelter by my flat, I've learned that it's much easier to knit blankets than it is to knit hats and mittens. I'm doing that the Muggle way, too, naturally.

My holiday started today, actually, so it's good that you ra-- Crookshanks! Honestly!

*laughs* I see you are quite busy. I could always call later, you know, when Crookshanks is not trying to conquer the Christmas tree.

No, no it's fine. I'll just put up the ward.

*Says the spell then sits down on the couch*

So, I expect you'll be in London soon, of course you'll have to get a hotel room. I'd let you stay here, but I don't want you to wake up with an angry redhead staring at you with his best death glare. I do want you to see my decorations, though, and I have gifts for you to open. When are you going to be here? I want to spend as much time with you as I can before you've got to go again.

Eh, well, Hermione, you see, I-I was, I mean, I wasn't planning on going to London for the Holidays. *fidgets*

*Furrows brow* ...What are you talking about? Of course you are.

[potterglow]

Um, well, not really. I mean, I-I told you I wasn't going back. *swallows* I may go back for a couple of days but not to, well, I can see you, of course, but I'll rather no one else knew.

I was actually ringing to tell you that I'm coming to London this Friday. And I'll be staying at Malfoy Manor. *braces himself*

[hermione_aglow]

*Remains quiet for a long moment.*

... For what?

*scratches his head* Draco invited me to a party, a gala or something like that, Parkinson's, and well, I said I'd go with him.

[hermione_aglow]

Oh, well. That settles it, then.

I think I should go, I've got quite a bit of cleaning to do and I need to organize some things.

Have a brilliant time. *Goes to hang up*

Because I knew you were going to react like this! Jesus. I don't know what to do. I can't do what everyone else wants me to do. I'll end up disappointing someone.

*sarcastically* What am I supposed to do, tell me? Go back to London, to the Weasleys and have your husband kill me?!

Did I ask you to go to the Weasleys? Did I ask you to see Ron?

[potterglow]

Did I say I wouldn't see you?

You just told me that I had to get a hotel room because I can't stay at yours because of Ron! Don't try to act as if he doesn't exist, Hermione. He's your family, just like the Weasleys and we can't just pretend they don't exist just because it's convenient. Things have changed, and there's not pretending they didn't.

*sighs* I want to see you, that's what I'm ringing you, but I don't appreciate you making assumptions about what I will or not do. I never said I was coming home for the holidays. I probably shouldn't. But if I do, the only person I do want to see is you.

I'll just, I'll stay here. It's less complicated that way. You said you were visiting after New Year's, yeah?
