Notes: This is pretty old but I'm posting it anyway. I know that I'm not the only one who has written Bonnie/Emma, so come on girls. Post your fics here too!
Bonnie likes girls. It doesn’t matter that she’s only twelve and so very clueless about a lot of things. Boys don’t give her butterflies, but girls do. And while Bonnie’s math skills might be quite bad, even she can add one and one and make it to two.
There’s one special girl that Bonnie likes. Emma. She’s pretty, smells very nice and most important; turns Bonnie’s young limbs into goo.
She knows that Emma wouldn’t get upset. Once, the girl showed Bonnie a story that one of Emma’s friends had printed out. It had been about Ginny and Hermione and they had done things that had made Bonnie’s face turn red. Emma had just laughed and placed a quick kiss on Bonnie’s lips while her friends had been watching. It hadn’t been much of a kiss, just an ‘eyes closed, lasting quarter of a second’ one. But the memory still sends tingles through Bonnie’s spine every time she thinks of it.
Still, Bonnie will never tell Emma. Emma likes boys, more than Ginny Weasley does in the fifth book. Before Bonnie’s eyes, Emma has grown, taller and round in places Bonnie would like to touch. She also walks differently than a year ago. She’s all swinging hips, make-up and self-confidence. And she really likes boys.
Bonnie loves dancing. She does ballet, modern and African dance. She often dances alone in her room, pretending that she’s taller, more gracious and with soft curves like Emma’s. She imagines how alluring she would look to Emma, who are sitting on Bonnie’s bed; watching while she softy moves to the rhythm.
There is a lot Bonnie doesn’t know, even about love. But don’t ever patronize her. Bonnie might be young, but she knows that her knight in a shining armour can just as well leave her alone. Bonnie’s into princesses.
