So, I wrote these two Mary-Louise Parker/Janel Moloney drabbles for the
femslash100 over the past couple of weeks, and it occurred to me to post 'em here for anyone who may be interested. (and, if you don't know who these women are, look at my icon.)

You pull the sheet over your bare breasts, the filtered moonlight dancing against you.
"That was nice."
"Yeah."
You remember the times her eyes have lingered on you -- award shows, on set, friendly dinners -- which led you to think this would be fire.
It wasn't.
You could blame expectation; that she hasn't made love to a woman in years. Truth is, you were never supposed to be here with her. You were just her flirtation, led to her bed because it was suddenly empty. Needing to be filled for a night.
"I'm sorry."
She smiles sadly. "Me too."

"So cold," you mutter, wrapping your scarf around your neck.
"You can't prefer California."
"It's my home."
You wince. You're leaving soon.
"But New York has a giant Christmas tree," she counters nonchalantly. "And, if we're lucky, snow." She glances over, her cloudy breath brushing by your lips. "Anyway, I'd hope this is your home for now."
You smile, discreetly tangling your gloved fingers with hers. She pulls you close, kisses you. It occurs to you that there are people all around you; this can result in a Page Six blind item or an Enquirer cover. But you don't care.
She's your home.
