The setting sounds pretty interesting, though I admit I don't know much about Loveless except that it has just that--- a partner-system when they battle. Can't co-mod, but if you ever make the game and need a code-monkey for updating pages and stuff, I'd volunteer for it.

Depending on just what you're going for in the game, you can always make a list of available spells they can use that ranges from something completely ridiculous (like disappearing clothes) or something more serious like fire spells. If you're going to make it something like a school setting, you can probably let the players handle the fights themselves. As for Loveless characters, maybe you can do something like what soul_campaign does and put them up as NPCs? Players can only play them if they show enough activity and prove they can handle playing the NPC, and they'll have to do their part if a plot with those NPC happens.

I actually had been working on a loveless RP last... summer, I think! Things fell through because the people I was working with became very busy IRL, but I never really wanted to give up!

I've got a few concepts and some ground work already set up. I'd love to co-mod! I've been wanting to get involved in a project like this for a long time.

I'd prefer the pairing to be random - maybe with a number generator? So that players can't pair off into cliques, and on a development level, characters could potentially be jealous of cross-canon matches/be forced to really get to know their own "partner", which opens up even more CR.

I don't know. Being allowed to pick and choose who we're paired with just seems ... eh, less than creative. But I'd still join!

Well! Even if you just had the option for pairs to be randomized in the event that people app without a friend, I'd still join. No pressure. :)
